Jindal Power Limited intends to sell its entire stake in the 1,800-MW Kamala hydro electric power project in Arunachal Pradesh. The stake to be sold has not been officially commented, however, the resolutions passed by its Board states the approval for the sale of its entire equity share in the Kamala project. “With respect to the 1,800-MW Kamala project, we have submitted expression of interest to SJVN Limited (NSEI:533206)," Jindal Steel & Power Ltd. (BSE:532286), parent of Jindal Power, spokesperson told Business Line. SJVN had sought expressions of interest in April from hydro power developers in Arunachal Pradesh for a partnership or a complete stake sale.

Jindal Power Limited announced that it has commissioned the second 600 MW out of 4X600 MW project at Tamnar in Raigarh district of Chattisgarh on March 30, 2014. The first unit of 600 MW out of the said 4X600 MW project was commissioned on March 14, 2014. JPL has also informed that 3rd unit of 600 MW is complete and ready for synchronization.
