Company Overview of FieldServer Technologies

FieldServer Technologies has introduced the new KNX Gateway. The QuickServer KNX Gateway enables data access from KNX networks to devices and other networks utilizing open and proprietary protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks, Metasys N2 by JCI, EtherNet/IP, NDP3, SNMP, and others. With over one hundred protocols available in the extensive FieldServer Driver Library, no other gateway can connect KNX to more products. The QuickServer KNX Gateway is a galvanic-isolated translator device on KNX/TP installations with control and monitoring capabilities. All EIS data types are supported, allowing communication with any KNX devices in the installation, such as temperature sensors, shutters, light switches, actuators, alarms, and more. The KNX Gateway allows building automation and industrial automation system to access a KNX network using direct read and write of KNX configured groups. This setup does not require the use of ETS4 to configure the QuickServer KNX gateway.

FieldServer Technologies announced that the company's QuickServer Gateway is fully integrated with Control4 automation solutions to deliver seamless HVAC control for commercial projects. The QuickServer gateway with the new Control4 driver allows access to over 110 commercial/residential device networks such as BACnet, LonWorks, Modbus, and more via serial, bus, or network (Ethernet, TCP/IP). Thermostat manufacturers tested and support by FieldServer include Carrier, Delta Controls, GE, Honeywell, Johnson Controls, Mitsubishi, and Schneider Automation. By making it easy for Control4 Dealers to integrate commercial HVAC control with lighting and AV automation, the QuickServer gateway opens up incredible business opportunities for Control4 dealers who are focusing on commercial and large, luxury residential projects. For larger projects that need to interface to additional devices and systems, FieldServer is the only gateway manufacturer that offers such a wide range of protocol interfaces which allows Control4 to interface with all applicable devices.

FieldServer Technologies announced the latest enhancement for the ProtoCessor OEM Gateway, Advanced Auto-Discovery. Whether tje application has one or more of the same device or several different devices, the Advanced Auto-Discovery feature on ProtoCessor can automatically discover known devices on the network and then automatically configure the ProtoCessor product to provide the protocol translation necessary. The Advanced Auto-Discovery feature is found on all ProtoCessor products, including the ProtoCessor, ProtoCarrier/ProtoCessor solution and the ProtoNode. It eliminates the need to manually set DIP switches, to select a configuration or to download configuration files for specific products. A single ProtoCessor product can store up to 30 device profiles with multiple protocols, thus the OEM need only stock one type of gateway to handle their entire line of products and that gateway will automatically detect the device connected and configure the gateway. The advantage is the OEM only needs to stock one ProtoCessor product to meet the various protocol translation needs of their full product line. And the end user/installer can quickly and easily configure the various products on-site.
