Viom Plans To Raise INR 1.5 Billion

Viom Networks Limited is planning to raise INR 1.5 billion to fund its growth plans. Syed Safawi, Chief Executive Officer of Viom said, “We have indeed appointed Credit Suisse Group AG (SWX:CSGN) and Citigroup Inc. (NYSE:C) as our bankers to help raise INR 1.5 billion of primary growth capital.”
SREI Infrastructure Not Looking To Divest Stake In Viom Networks

SREI Infrastructure Finance Limited (BSE:523756) has clarified that it is not considering divesting any stake in Viom. "Srei Infrastructure Finance Limited (Srei) has a strategic investment in Viom Networks Limited (Viom), which is an unlisted company. Viom is planning to raise funds for its growth either through private placement or listing overseas. Till date, the Board of Directors of Srei have not considered to divest any stake in Viom." SREI Infrastructure Finance said in a clarification to BSE.
SREI Infrastructure May Sell Viom Stake

SREI Infrastructure Finance Limited (BSE:523756) is planning to sell off investments. According to the news report, it may sell stake in Viom Networks Limited through listing on London Stock Exchange. Hemant Kanoria, Chairman and Managing Director of SREI Infrastructure said, “We found that the market in India was not ripe enough to accept a company, which is in telecom towers, and in such a big way. We looked around the world and we found that there were companies like American Towers, Ground Castle listed on the US stock exchange and they were getting very high valuations. So we thought why can’t we also look at an international market and look at listing it.” The report added that the company has been approached by investment bankers. He added, “The valuations quoted is anywhere between INR 200 billion INR 270 billion. We are quite hopeful that we should be in a position to get a good value. Fund managers are considering stake sale. Everyone is on a wait and watch because people feel that the investments, which they have made and the return, which they will be getting, will be higher after the elections than now.” SREI Infrastructure closed at INR 26.5 on March 3, 2014.
