ALM Media Properties, LLC announced that Aric Press has been named to the newly created position of senior vice president, editor-in-chief of the company. In this new role, Aric will dedicate his time and energy to expanding rapidly growing ALM Legal Intelligence business. The company also appointed David Brown, editor-in-chief of The National Law Journal and executive editor at ALM, to replace Press as vice president, editor-in-chief of ALM. In this new role, Brown will assume full responsibility for ALM's national editorial organization and will oversee the day-to-day editorial operations for all of ALM's national media products. Brown began his career as a local newspaper reporter in Northern California before joining the editorial staff of The Recorder, a legal newspaper in California, in 1999.
ALM Media Properties, LLC announced the appointment of Jeffrey K. Whittle as the new chief technology and digital products officer reporting to William Pollak, president and chief executive of ALM. Whittle will lead ALM's Information Technology and Digital Media Groups, and will be based in ALM's New York office. Most recently Whittle served as CTO at ShopperTrak RCT.
ALM has named Jeffrey Litvack senior VP-digital media, a new position at the company. Litvack was previously COO-general manager of iCircular, a mobile advertising platform for preprints, at the Associated Press. In his new position, he will oversee the development of ALM's corporate strategy for digital products.
