GMF Mulls IPO

GMF AeroAsia, PT (GMF) aims to raise $100 million through an initial public offering in the second half of 2013, an official at its parent company, PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (JKSE:GIAA), said. "We're planning to sell a stake that is less than 30%, our target is to get $100 million from the IPO," Handrito Hardjono, Finance director at Garuda Indonesia. "GMF is the most prepared subsidiary we have for IPO, hopefully it can be done by the second semester of this year," he added. GMF must obtain government and parliamentary approval for any IPO. Shares of Garuda Indonesia dropped 5.56% at IDR 510.
GMF AeroAsia, PT Launches Engine Test Facility in Cengkareng, Banten

GMF AeroAsia, PT announced that it has launched the operation of its CFM56-7B engine test facility in Cengkareng, Banten, to better develop GMF’s capacity for aircraft repair. The engine test facility, developed in cooperation with US firm General Electric (GE) and CFM International, a joint venture company between GE and Snecma of Safran Group, will enable GFM to improve its engine maintenance capability in accordance with international safety and maintenance standards. The facility will be used to test plane engines to meet stringent parameters before they are installed on planes. It comprises a large chamber whereby the engines will be tested through sensors that mimic various actual flying conditions.
GMF AeroAsia Plans IDR 1 Trillion IPO in 2013

GMF AeroAsia, PT plans to launch initial public offering in the Indonesian Stock Exchange in 2013 worth IDR 1 trillion. "GMF is ready to carry IPO [initial public offering] in the second half of 2013 at the soonest," said President Director of Garuda Indonesia, Emirsyah Satar.
