Northgate Information Solutions Holdings Ltd. has announced the appointment of Adel Al-Saleh as the group's CEO. He will succeed Chris Stone, who previously announced his decision to leave the firm. Adel is a technology business leader who has worked across multiple industries and geographies. Prior to this appointment, Adel spent five years at IMS Health where he held several senior positions including president of EMEA, senior vice president Global Pharma Solutions, and president of US.

Northgate Information Solutions Holdings Ltd. reported audited consolidated earnings results for the year ended April 30, 2011. For the year, the company reported revenue of £816.2 million compared to £669.9 million a year ago. Adjusted operating profit before depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) was £127.5 million compared to £117.6 million a year ago. Adjusted operating profit was £81.1 million compared to £80.9 million a year ago. Group operating profit was £10.7 million compared to £11.8 million a year ago. This growth was delivered through a combination of organic growth and the acquisition of Convergys HRM, which contributed £138.8 million of revenue. The group's loss before taxation was £70.8 million compared to £71.6 million a year ago. The loss after taxation was £66.4 million compared to £65.5 million a year ago. Loss attributable to equity holders of the parent was £76.73 million compared to £81.60 million a year ago. Net cash from operating activities before taxes paid was £84.21 million compared to £74.74 million a year ago. Acquisition of intangible assets was £26.85 million compared to £26.67 million a year ago. Acquisition of property, plant and equipment was £14.37 million compared to £15.43 million a year ago. The company also invested £41.2 million in capitalized software development costs and fixed assets from £42.1 million as the business continued to invest to support future growth. This left the group with £844.4 million of net debt at April 30, 2011 from £816.8 million a year ago.
