The Private Equity Growth Capital Council was created by The Blackstone Group, The Carlyle Group, Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co., and Texas Pacific Group to provide research and education on the buyout industry to policy makers on behalf of buyout shops and potentially lobby for them. Other members include Apollo Management, Bain Capital, Hellman & Friedman, Providence Equity Partners, Silver Lake Partners, and Thomas H. Lee Partners. Membership is limited to firms with at least $8 billion of assets under management. The Private Equity Growth Capital Council is based in Washington, District of Columbia.
