In the same month, certain subsidiaries, including Oceanic Ship Co., Project America, Inc., Project America Ship I, Inc., and Project America Ship II, Inc., which did not file for reorganization, ceased all operations; and Holland America Line took possession of the MS Patriot, the primary asset of Oceanic Ship Co. In March 2002, the company entered into a Letter of Intent with WI-DQSC, LLC., a company affiliated with Waveland Investments, LLC., to sell substantially all the assets of three of the subsidiaries, which filed for reorganization: The Delta Queen Steamboat Company, Great River Cruise Line, LLC, and Great Ocean Cruise Line, LLC. The sale would include the Delta Queen and Mississippi Queen riverboats, the primary assets of Great River and Great Ocean, respectively. The proposed purchase price was $3,750,000. On October 19, 2001, American Classic Voyages Co. filed a voluntary petition for reorganization under Chapter 11 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware. The plan was later approved as Chapter 11 liquidation on October 1, 2006.
