Its stores provided a spectrum of basic and fashion apparel, including private-label brands, basic and fashion home furnishings, convenience hard goods, and extensive seasonal offerings. In December 2000, Bradlees and its subsidiaries filed for protection under Chapter 11 of the United States Bankruptcy Code.
