iShares Canadian Universe Bond Index ETF is an exchange traded fund launched and managed by BlackRock Asset Management Canada Limited. The fund is co-managed by BlackRock Institutional Trust Company, N.A. It invests in fixed income markets of Canada. The fund primarily invests in investment-grade Government of Canada, provincial, corporate and municipal bonds with varying maturities. It seeks to track the performance of its portfolio against the DEX Universe Bond Index by using representative sampling methodology. The fund was formerly known as iShares DEX Universe Bond Index Fund. iShares Canadian Universe Bond Index ETF was formed on October 31, 2000 and is domiciled in Canada.
