Eight Firms Expressed Interest In Four Power Barges

Eight firms have expressed interest to bid for the government's power barges (Power Barge 101, Power Barge 102, Power Barge 103 and Power Barge 104), state-run Power Sector Assets and Liabilities Management Corp. (PSALM) President Emmanuel Ledesma Jr. said. The companies are: Vivant Corporation (PSE:VVT), Therma Power Visayas, Inc., Trans-Asia Oil and Energy Development Corporation (PSE:TA), American Capital Energy & Infrastructure, D.M. Wenceslao and Associates Incorporated., FDC Utilities, Inc., SPC Island Power Corporation and S.L. Development and S.L. Development Construction Corporation.

PSALM Confirms Four Companies Interested In Bidding For Naga Power Plant Sale

DMCI Holdings, Inc. (PSE:DMC), Aboitiz & Company, Inc., D.M. Wenceslao and Associates Incorporated, and Salcon Power Corp. (PSE:SPC) have expressed interest in bidding for Naga Power Plant, which is being planned to be sold by the government. According to industry sources, the four companies joined the pre-bid conference for Naga Power Plant conducted by the Power Sector Assets and Liabilities Management Corporation (PSALM). PSALM president Emmanuel Ledesma Jr. confirmed the report stating, “The bidder’s comments and clarifications during the pre-bid covered the provisions of the bidding procedures, terms of asset sale, due diligence process and bidding schedule.” PSALM has set the deadline of submission of bids for the sale process on July 24, 2013.

Four Companies Express Interest In Naga Power Plant Complex

Four companies on June 6, 2013 expressed interest to join the bidding for the 145.8-megawatt Naga power plant complex in Cebu in July 2013. Among the companies that attended the pre-bid conference were DMCI Holdings, Inc. (PSE:DMC) and D.M. Wenceslao and Associates Incorporated. Sources said the other two parties that participated in the pre-bid conference were Salcon Power Corp. (PSE:SPC) and Aboitiz Power Corp. (PSE:AP).
