Ford Motor Company ZAO's workforce conducted a warning strike to demand improved working conditions. Earlier, the union announced its intention to conduct a warning strike during the third shift from 1:30 a.m. till 3:30 a.m. Moscow time on November 2. The reason for the strike was the reluctance by the company management to reduce the share of outsourced labor to 5%, and to review the working conditions of the third shift.

Ford Motor Company ZAO announced Mark Ovenden is stepping down as head of the company's Russia operation to become the car marker's managing director in Britain, effective August 15, 2011. Ovenden is also vice chairman of the Association of European Business Automobile Manufacturers Committee. Ovenden was appointed president and CEO of the company on January 1, 2010, prior to which he was vice president for marketing, sales and services at the division.

Ford Motor Company ZAO has started shipping the third generation Focus model to dealers. Around 9,000 orders have been shipped of this model. All three Focus models will be assembled at the plant. At present, the plant is assembling hatchbacks now. Sedans and universals will start assembly in September 2011 and January 2012, respectively.
