Rural/Metro Corporation announced an organizational realignment aimed at optimizing operational efficiency and positioning the company for improved performance and long-term success. Effective October 30, 2013, the company is implementing a corporate restructuring that will standardize organizational structures, job titles and responsibilities across all of its markets. The enhanced organizational model will be more cost-effective, will ensure continuity and focus on it's critical business drivers patient care, employee care and business care and will foster the sharing of best practices across all business units. Rural/Metro Corporation won a $1,804,328 federal contract from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs' Western New York Health Care System, Cheektowaga, N.Y., for ambulance services at Buffalo and Batavia V.A. Medical Centers. Places of performance will be in Buffalo and Batavia, N.Y.
