Quantum3D, Inc. announced that it has signed a distribution agreement with Antycip Simulation SAS. The agreement includes European distribution of Quantum3D's ExpeditionDI, an immersive, man-wearable system for infantry training and mission rehearsal, its real-time visual simulation systems, and its family of Thermite ultra-high-performance ruggedized computer systems.
Quantum3D, Inc. announced Virgin Galactic, the world's first commercial spaceline, has ordered Quantum3D's six-channel Independence(R) IDX 7000 image generator. Virgin Galactic will use Quantum3D's most advanced real-time image generator to train pilots on spaceship equipment and command. The IDX 7000 offers enhanced performance and capabilities to deliver Virgin Galactic a versatile and powerful simulation and training platform that can be setup in a dedicated room or easily transported, to meet a range of onsite, on-location and mobile training needs. Combined with Mantis(R) shader-based real-time scene management software with geo-specific, worldwide synthetic environments, Virgin Galactic will be able to train their pilots in a variety of simulations, from instrument/cockpit familiarization to a full range of special effects, sensors, weather, and lighting, along with mission-critical functions such as height-above-terrain and line-of-sight intersection testing.
Quantum3D, Inc. announced the appointment of Wade Guindy as its new president and CEO. Guindy will oversee Quantum3D's continued development of real-time visual simulation and ruggedized embedded systems for a wide range of government and commercial applications. Guindy brings over 25 years of impressive and diverse experience, both domestically and internationally, in growing and leading both private and public technology companies. Guindy has held numerous senior executive management positions at several companies such as Eksigent Technologies, Soilcore Inc, Valance Technology, GTE Government Systems, and Teledyne MEC. Prior to joining Quantum 3D, Mr. Guindy most recently held the position of COO and Executive Vice President of Technology at Revolt Technology.
