The new functionality facilitates compliance with the classification and labeling requirements mandated by the United Nations' (UN) Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS), as well as with the reporting requirements set forth by North America's National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), Hazardous Material Identification System (HMIS), and the Superfund Amendments and Reauthorization Act (SARA). The enhancements help companies fulfill global regulatory obligations while also managing their product stewardship and workplace safety related Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) data requirements, the company said.
