Conviva and NexStreaming Partner to Bring High-Quality Viewing Experience to Mobile Video Audience
Jan 30 14
Conviva and NexStreaming announced a partnership that will help content owners and publishers easily deliver the best digital media viewing experience on Android-powered mobile devices and televisions. The partnership pre-integrates Insights, Conviva's powerful analytics platform, into NexStreaming's NexPlayer SDK for Android. By making Conviva's granular data and analytics technology native to the NexStreaming player, online video publishers wanting to deliver high-quality content to Android devices can accelerate the integration process. This pre-integration streamlines deployment to devices running the most widely utilized operating system for mobile. Through the partnership, digital media publishers using the NexPlayer can bypass the integration step for Insights, and have immediate access to Conviva's real-time data set. Conviva's Insights not only allows them to receive alerts and immediately take action when there is degradation to quality, but also allows them to determine Quality of Experience for their viewers and how it is impacting viewer engagement.

M-GO's pay-as-you-go streaming service helps people find, rent, buy and enjoy digital entertainment on any of the devices they use-TVs, iPads, tablets, Blu-ray players, streaming players, Macs, PCs and soon game consoles and smartphones. Consumers in the U.S. can get access to thousands of new releases, classic movies and commercial-free TV shows on M-GO-in both standard and high definition-paying only for the movies and TV shows they want without needing to commit to subscription fees. By measuring the quality of video delivered to every single viewer, Conviva Precision is able to see when degradations occur. Using this information, Conviva Precision can leverage algorithms to anticipate outages before they occur and take preemptive measure to improve and avoid video interruptions or quality degradation before they affect the viewer.
