Cox Announces Executive Appointments

Cox promoted Leigh Woisard and George Richter, the company's top communications and supply chain leaders to senior vice president. Leigh Woisard has been promoted to senior vice president of corporate communications and public affairs. In this role, she will continue to oversee the development of strategic internal and external communications plans to support product sales, promote the company's aggressive community investment and direct all media and analyst relations. George Richter was promoted to senior vice president of supply chain management. Since joining Cox in 2008, Richter has been responsible for significant savings annually through more effective sourcing and inventory management. He will continue to develop and manage an end-to-end supply chain strategy that includes sourcing, demand analysis and planning, forward and reverse logistics, warehouse management, purchasing and inventory management. Cox Communications Closes Van Buren Location

Increased online payments and a large new office in Fort Smith have led to the closing of a Cox Communications office in Van Buren. The office at 1202 Main St. in Van Buren will officially close June 27, and Van Buren customers will have the option of paying a bill in person at the Van Buren Walmart on Fayetteville Road. The two employees at the Van Buren Cox office were offered the option to take positions at the new Fort Smith store or pursue other opportunities with Cox Communications.

Cox Communications Expands Home Security and Smart Home Product to Omaha and Wichita

Cox Communications announced that it is continuing its expansion of home security and automation services by offering Cox Home Security to the Omaha and Wichita markets. Cox started offering Home Security three years ago in Arizona and has since rolled it out to six other markets (California, Oklahoma, New England, Ohio, Virginia and Las Vegas). Adding to its comprehensive portfolio of communications services including high speed Internet, cable TV and phone, Cox Home Security offers customers a multifaceted solution to help keep their loved ones and homes safe. Cox Home Security provides a wide array of both security and advanced smart home features not found in most traditional alarm systems with time-saving, cost-saving, and worry-saving features to help customers manage their homes. The reliable, 24/7 secure monitoring systems feature: Intrusion and home safety monitoring (includes fire, gas and flood); Remote access so the system can be controlled away from home via a secure online site or Smartphone app; Email/Text alerts to notify customers of occurrences at the home; Safety sensors to detect hazardous conditions such as carbon monoxide and smoke; Secure video monitoring and recording available via smart phone or a web browser; and control of home functions such as lighting and temperature.
