RSI Home Products, Inc. announced the recall of Bathroom medicine cabinets. Hazard of this product is: The mirror or its back panel can separate and fall out, posing an injury hazard to consumers. Consumers should immediately stop using and uninstall the recalled bathroom medicine cabinet; and return it to The Home Depot for a full refund. This recall involves four models of Glacier Bay(R)-branded bathroom medicine cabinets, manufactured between July 15, 2013 and October 10, 2013. They have a mirrored door, two adjustable and two fixed interior shelves. Some models have exterior display side shelves. They were sold in 21, 23 and 30-inch widths and in three finishes: cognac, java and white. "VOC" and the manufacture date are stamped on the exterior of the cabinet's back panel. The models below are included in this recall. The model and SKU number appear on the product's box. Sold exclusively at The Home Depot stores nationwide from August 2013 through October 2013 for between $70 and $90.

RSI Home Products, Inc. announced that effective July 15, 2013, Thomas Chieffe will join the company as its chief executive officer. Chieffe succeeds Calabrese, who will continue to serve as the company's executive chairman of the board. RSI has also formed a board of directors' executive committee, which consists of the company's founder and major shareholder Ronald M. Simon, Calabrese and David Lowrie, the company's corporate chief financial officer. Chieffe brings a wealth of relevant business experience to RSI. Most recently, he worked as an operating executive with Oak Tree Capital. Prior to Oak Tree, Chieffe spent about four years as CEO of Associated Materials Incorporated (AMI). Before AMI, he spent approximately twelve years with Masco Corporation (MAS), serving as group vice president of retail kitchens and as president of Kraftmaid(R), where he was responsible for building the brand into the industry leader in semi-custom kitchens.

The alliance between RSI Home Products and Professional Cabinet Solutions offers tremendous advantages, including the ability to leverage resources, share management disciplines, cross-sell and maximize manufacturing capabilities. As a result of the alliance, RSI Home Products, the most dominant supplier of in-stock kitchen and bath cabinets to retailers such as Home Depot and Lowes, will have the opportunity to cross-sell its products to PCS' network of top home builders and kitchen and bath dealers. PCS will benefit from access to RSI Home Products' manufacturing and management resources. Additionally, PCS will look to further expand within the made-to-order segment of the market with its current products, as well as products made by RSI Home Products, where an estimated $5 billion in sales exist through builders, retail home centers and kitchen and bath dealers.
