The $66.9 million project will boost the city's water reserve to 790 million gallons to overweigh the daily consumption by locals.

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority Launches New Water Pipeline Project in Palm Jumeirah

Dubai Electricity And Water Authority has launched a new water pipeline project in the Palm Jumeirah, in line with its strategy to enhance its infrastructure and meet growing demand for its services across Dubai. Valued at AED 57.7 million, the new project includes the planning and laying of 600/900 mm-diameter water-transmission pipes, over a total length of 3 kilometers. The project is part of Dewa’s strategic objective to enhance the reliability and efficiency of its water distributions networks, and to provide a reliable water infrastructure necessary to enable the development and growth of Dubai. The project will be carried out in accordance with a pre-planned programme, and is expected to be completed within 18 months. The main objective of the project is to enhance production and operational capacity, support water transmission networks and increase water flow to meet an increasing demand for water for current and future projects in the crescent area of the Palm. This will also contribute to Dewa’s efforts to promote sustainable development.

Dubai Electricity And Water Authority has launched a new water pipeline project in Hatta, in line with its focus on enhancing its infrastructure and meeting the growing demand for its services across Dubai. Valued at AED 30 million, the new project includes the planning and laying of new water pipe distribution networks ranging in size from 100-450mm in diameter, and over a total length of 30 kilometres. The project includes the extension of water distribution pipes ranging in size from 100 to 450 mm in diameter. The project is expected to be completed within 14 months as per schedule.
