Computer Sciences Corporation and Towers Perrin, Inc. have formed a partnership to introduce Financial Risk Intelligence, a new offering to streamline financial risk and capital management analytics for US life insurance and annuity enterprises. The Financial Risk Intelligence is an end-to-end application that combines CSC's Insurance Industry Data Model, consulting expertise, and preconfigured integration tools with Towers Perrin's financial modeling software, methodologies, and services. It manages data from source systems directly to the financial modeling platform, and automates data aggregation, transformation and cleansing through a centralized data source. It eliminates the cost of ad hoc repositories.

Towers Perrin Inc. named Blaise DiFedele as assistant vice president of its reinsurance brokerage business. In this role, DiFedele will support Towers Perrin's client-focused efforts for the firm's expanding life and health reinsurance practice. He is based in the firm's Philadelphia office. DiFedele joins Towers Perrin after five years at AIG, most recently overseeing several of its benefit initiatives and business development projects. He has also held executive positions at Reliance Standard Life Insurance, Stop Loss International, Fortis Benefits Insurance and Mutual Benefit Life Insurance.

Watson And Towers Enters $500 Million Credit Facility; Mulls Acquisitions

Watson Wyatt Worldwide Inc. and Towers Perrin Inc will enter into a $500 million revolving credit facility. The companies signed commitment letters with Bank of America, Banc of America Securities, PNC Bank, and PNC Capital Markets and the borrower will be Towers Watson & Co., which will be the name of the combined company. Bank of America and PNC committed up to $75 million each under the credit facility. The funds from the credit facility may be used to refinance and retire existing debts from the two companies, to cover costs of the merger, to pay cash considerations to Towers Perrin shareholders or repay senior unsecured notes due in the first year after the combination, to finance acquisitions, or for other general corporate purposes.
