The Board of Directors of M&C REIT Management Limited (MRM) and M&C Business Trust Management Limited (MBTM), the Manager of CDL Hospitality Real Estate Investment Trust and the Trustee-Manager of CDL Hospitality Business Trust respectively, approved the appointment of Mr. Ronald Seah Lim Siang as an independent and non-executive Director of MRM and MBTM after taking into consideration Mr. Seah’s qualifications and extensive experience in the management of investment portfolios, culled over a 25-year period between 1980 and 2005 when he held various senior positions within the AIG Group in Singapore, including as Chairman of the Board of AIG Global Investment Corporation (Singapore) Ltd. from 2001 to 2005. Mr. Seah’s financial risk management expertise and experience will be invaluable in his service also as the Chairman of the Risk Management Committee of MRM and as an Audit Committee member of both MRM and MBTM. The effective date of this appointment is on October 21, 2013.

CDL Updates On Acquisition Opportunities

CDL Hospitality Trusts is looking to acquire more properties in Singapore, Japan and Dubai, said Vincent Yeo, Chief Executive Officer of M&C REIT Management Limited, which manages CDL. "We still like the Singapore market long-term," Yeo said and added that CDL was not eyeing anything specific. Yeo added that Japan's tourism market had room to grow and Dubai had potential as both a business and tourism hub.
