Kombinat Receives Bids From 4 Buyers

Uniprom Pekara d.o.o., Kompanija Politropus Alternative d.o.o., Alemani trade d.o.o and a London based company may buy assets of Kombinat Aluminijuma Podgorica A.D., local media reported. Uniprom offered €28.5 million to pay in two installments excluding the red sludge basin and cathode waste landfill and will also invest €76 million. Politropus Alternative offered €0.45 million, Alemani Trade offered €0.17 million for 22 wagons and London based company offered €5,100 and pledged to invest €700 million in Kombinat Aluminijuma Podgorica assets. En+ Group Ltd. and the Montenegrin government own 29.3% each in Kombinat Aluminijuma Podgorica which was put up for sale in December for starting price of €52.4 million.
Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology, En+ Group and Korea Electric Power Corporation Sign Memorandum of Understanding on Joint Research

A memorandum of understanding was signed in Seoul by the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology (Skoltech), Russia's En+ Group and Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO). This document calls for research to develop power grids in Northeast Asia in order to create optimal routes for delivering electricity and energy-intensive products. Research will be conducted at Skoltech's Energy Systems Research Center. Initially there are plans to study the macroeconomic situation and the situation on energy markets, and prepare a feasibility study for the project. The signed documents will strengthen the international and legal foundation for Russian-Korean partnership within the context of the Skolkovo project.
En+ Group and Posco Signs Memorandum of Understanding to Build Steel Mill and an Electric Power Plant

En+ Group and Posco have signed a memorandum of understanding to build a steel mill and an electric power plant in Russia's Irkutsk Region. At the first stage of cooperation, En+ Group and Posco will build a joint steel mill with a capacity to produce 260,000 tonnes of rolled stock per year. The sides will also cooperate in building the 1.26-gigawatt Lenskaya power plant in the Irkutsk Region and develop the Kupsky gas block to ensure gas supplies to the power plant. The potential consumers of power from the future plant include new mining and metals projects in Eastern Siberia, the East Siberia-Pacific Ocean oil pipeline system, and the Baikal-Amur Mainline. Posco also agreed to supply equipment to the airports of Basel Aero, included into Basic Element, part of En+Group, and in cooperation with the environmental sphere.
