Prior to forming The Campbell Group, Campbell was a tax manager for Arthur Andersen in Portland, Oregon, where he served many of the large public and private forest products companies. Michael Powell has been the owner and President of Powell's bookstore since 1981, a landmark in Portland that has attracted numerous prominent authors over the years. He only recently retired from the day-to-day running of that business. Kay Toran has been the President and Chief Executive Officer of Volunteers of America Oregon since July 1999.
