SYQT, Inc. is engaged in the design, development, manufacture, and marketing of removable hard disk cartridges, associated disk drives, and freestanding storage systems for personal computers and workstations. In April 1999, SYQT, Inc. sold all of its assets to Iomega Corporation, pursuant to its Chapter 11 bankruptcy petition filed in November 1998. The company was formerly known as SyQuest Technology, Inc. and is based in Fremont, California. On December 3, 2001, the voluntary petition of SyQuest Technology Inc. for reorganization under Chapter 11 was converted to Chapter 7. It had filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy on November 17, 1998.
