Tarkett Reportedly Mulls IPO

Tarkett Holding GmbH is set to launch an initial public offering (IPO) that could value the business at as much as €2.5 billion. Tarkett is set to announce an intention to list on October 4, 2013, subject to final approval by the French Autorité des Marchés Financiers, according to people close to the situation. Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. L.P. (NYSE:KKR) holds 50% stake in Tarkett and the rest of the shares are owned by the Deconinck family. KKR hired advisors in 2013 to prepare for a sale or an IPO. It initially considered a listing in New York but the Deconinck family preferred a Paris listing. A listing of Tarkett on the Paris stock exchange could value the company at as much as €2.5bn including debt, one of the people said. HSBC, JPMorgan, Deutsche Bank and Bank of America are advising Tarkett on the flotation.
