No Bidders Found For CPS's La Villita

City Public Service of San Antonio (CPS) is unable to find a bidder for its La Villita Assembly Hall. Tracy Idell Hamilton, spokeswoman of CPS said that four to five companies expressed interest in La Villita, some looked over the building, and none submitted a formal proposal to take it over. Tracy Idell Hamilton declined to say what objections, if any, interested parties raised. "We're evaluating our next step,” she added. San Antonio Conservation Society, which leases the hall, toured the facility but declined to bid because the hall would need costly upgrades, President Sue Ann Pemberton said. Tracy Idell Hamilton said that CPS has no timetable for exploring its next move or soliciting new bids to run La Villita. "We simply haven't gotten that far yet," she added.
