Verizon Wireless Inc Key Developments

Verizon Wireless Introduces 4G LTE Network To Three Missouri Counties

Verizon Wireless announced that it has launched network operations to St. Genevieve, St. Francois and Washington counties in rural eastern Missouri, offering the latest innovative products and solutions to consumers. Existing Verizon Wireless customers, as well as new customers, will be able to experience the speed and capabilities offered by the nation's larger 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) network. The new Verizon 4G LTE network coverage in the three counties will include the towns of St. Genevieve, Potosi, Desloge and Farmington, Missouri. New network coverage will also include Interstate Highway 55 and state highways US 8, US 21 and US 67. Consumers and businesses will be able to sign up for new service with local phone numbers and select from the latest 4G LTE devices, including tablets, smartphones, jetpacks and more, at a new Verizon Wireless "Smart Store" location in Farmington.

JCDecaux SA Partners with Verizon to Deploy Mobile Charging Digital Stations Throughout Major US Airports

JCDecaux SA announced that it has completed the rollout of 169 brand new mobile charging digital stations at the four larger international airports in the US: John F. Kennedy International Airport, Newark Liberty International Airport, Miami International Airport and Los Angeles International Airport. The newly designed mobile charging digital stations provide a unique, in-demand service to 193 million travelers. Each device is equipped with USB ports, regular AC outlets and an innovative wireless recharge device. The units also feature two 32" digital, high definition screens for the exclusive use of Verizon commercial and content messages. Verizon Wireless' 4G LTE network will be used to deliver digital ads to the kiosks, including messages from Verizon.

Verizon Wireless Expands 4G LTE Network in Albany, Gainesville, Valdosta and Rome, Georgia

Verizon Wireless has expanded its newest technology -- known as XLTE -- in more Georgia markets including Albany, Gainesville, Valdosta and Rome to boost 4G LTE network capacity and enhance high-speed services for customers. XLTE utilizes Verizon's AWS (Advanced Wireless Services) spectrum, which allows Verizon to deliver significantly increased capacit, at a minimum, doubling the capacity, over its high-speed 4G LTE network. This means more customers in high-traffic locations can access the company's most advanced technology at the same time to send photos, download videos, surf the Internet and use other popular applications on their smartphones, tablets and other devices during times of peak usage. XLTE technology is particularly effective in enhancing wireless network performance in settings with a concentrated group of high-data demand customers, such as densely-populated areas, rush hour commutes, concert venues, sports arenas/stadiums and other large event locations.
