Peter Taylor Files an Age Discrimination Lawsuit Against Twitter Inc

An employee fired from Twitter Inc. when he was 57 has filed an age discrimination lawsuit. The plaintiff, Peter Taylor, was in charge of data center deployment at Twitter. Taylor's suit says he was terminated without warning, without notice, without explanation in September and that he was fired due to his age. His suit also says he was diagnosed with kidney stones in April 2013 and that his termination was also related to surgery for that condition, which kept him from spending as much time on his job as he normally did.

Twitter, Inc. Announces Management Changes

Twitter Inc. promoted Katie Jacobs Stanton to oversee global media, replacing Chloe Sladden, who left less than a month ago. Twitter is in the midst of a big leadership shakeup that has included the resignation of COO Ali Rowghani, whom the company said would continue to be a Twitter employee and a strategic advisor to CEO Dick Costolo, as well as the appointment of a new chief financial officer. The current CFO, Mike Gupta, will move to the position of senior vice president, strategic investments.

Twitter Announces Executive Changes

Twitter (TWTR) named Goldman Sachs Group's (GS) Anthony Noto as its new chief financial officer, succeeding Mike Gupta, who will assume the role of senior vice president of strategic investments. The company said the changes will be effective within the next 30 days. Noto joins the social-networking company from Goldman Sachs, where he served as a managing director in the technology, media and telecom investment-banking group from October 2010 to June 2014.
