Premiere Networks and FOX Sports Renew Long-Term Deal

Premiere Networks and FOX Sports announced a long-term extension of their agreement for Premiere Networks to continue producing and distributing the FOX Sports Radio Network's sports entertainment programming to nearly 400 stations across North America and Canada. Specific terms were not announced. Under the agreement, Premiere Networks and FOX Sports will continue working together across multiple platforms to synchronize the audio, digital, online and television assets of FOX Sports, FOXSports.com and FOX Sports Radio, further extending the reach, visibility and engagement of these brands with millions of consumers. Additionally, with the recently-launched 24-hour television network FOX Sports 1, the radio and television divisions will work closely to increase cross-promotional opportunities and highlight FOX Sports' established team of top insiders, analysts and personalities, including NFL Insider Jay Glazer, NFL Analyst Kirk Morrison, NBA Insider Bill Reiter and many more. Jerry Davis, a Former Employee Files Lawsuit against FOX Cable Network Services, FOX Sports Net, FOX Sports and FOX Networks Group over Claims of Racial Discrimination

A former employee sued News Corp.'s FOX Sports over claims of racial discrimination. Jerry Davis, a former director in the FOX Sports music department, on April 5 filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles Superior Court against FOX Cable Network Services, FOX Sports Net, FOX Sports and FOX Networks Group. The suit accused FOX Sports of denying Davis a promotion despite working for the company from August 1997 because, as a black man, he did not fit neatly into the company's corporate culture. The lawsuit reads, in the division that runs broadcast/'over the air' sports programming for FOX, there are currently approximately 34 individuals employed at or above the vice president level. None are black. In his lawsuit, Davis also accused FOX Sports of eliminating his position in February while he was on disability leave without providing any interactive process or attempts at accommodation.
Alan Rifkin Denied Reports About MASN's Sale

Alan Rifkin, Counsel for Mid-Atlantic Sports Network (MASN) has denied report that Fox Sports Networks Inc. is in repeated discussions with Peter Angelos, majority shareholder of MASN about acquiring it. Alan Rifkin, said that a SportsBusiness Journal report was inaccurate. "There has been no contact. There has been no offer. There has been no discussion of it. MASN is not for sale, " he added.
