LG Electronics has chosen 'LG-One', a multi-agency team of WPP companies, to provide global public relations support, effective June 1, 2009. The appointment, initially for a period of three years, follows a worldwide competitive review and will cover corporate and product communications across all five of LG Electronics business divisions. LG-One will work for LG Electronics global business division headquarters and for each of its regional headquarters operations. In some countries, it will work alongside existing agencies during a transition period. Young & Rubicam Inc., another WPP company, is the network agency of record for LG's marketing efforts and will work closely with LG-One.

Audi AG has reportedly chosen Y&R in Singapore to handle its creative account. There were initially four companies in strong competition to handle the account, including Euro RSCG and Grey and Ogilvy.

John Berg joined the San Francisco office of Young & Rubicam Inc., part of the Young & Rubicam Brands unit of the WPP Group, as president and chief executive. He succeeds Penny Baldwin, who is leaving to spend more time with her family. Mr. Berg had been president at the New York office of Taxi.
