The addition of this cloud-based service strengthens participating managed service providers' (MSPs) solution portfolios. Through this agreement, Nirvanix expands its addressable market, while participating MSPs gain access to Nirvanix cloud storage services, proven in multi-petabyte production deployments to support millions of users and billions of objects--all under a single global namespace. Leveraging the integrated and easy-to-install solution comprised of Nirvanix CloudNAS(R) gateway software and the Intel Hybrid Cloud Platform, customers can start backing up and archiving data to the Nirvanix cloud in minutes. With an innovative software delivery mechanism and a growing catalog of small business applications, the Intel AppUp SMB Service runs on the Intel Hybrid Cloud Platform, which features a scalable, pre-configured server with robust remote management capabilities. Nirvanix Inc. announced a collaborative effort with CoreSite Realty Corporation to provide direct connections to Nirvanix cloud storage at CoreSite's One Wilshire data center campus in Los Angeles. By offering direct connections to Nirvanix cloud storage services, new and existing CoreSite customers can establish a private network connection between their owned or managed IT infrastructure and the Nirvanix Cloud Storage Network(TM)--providing immediate access to the Nirvanix Cloud File System(TM) designed to support millions of users, billions of objects and exabytes of data. With this service, customers can bypass Internet service providers to improve throughput, gain consistent network performance, enhance security, and reduce costs while adding cloud storage capabilities to their existing IT portfolio.
