University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations and Kaplan Aspect have signed an agreement for Kaplan Aspect to run a number of Cambridge ESOL's computer-based English tests at Kaplan Aspect schools throughout the UK and Ireland. University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations provides a range of certificates for learners and teachers of English. Kaplan Aspect provides English language and university preparation programmes. This agreement will give thousands of Kaplan Aspect students access to the Cambridge ESOL qualifications, starting in January 2010. Cambridge ESOL is offering a growing number of exams that can be taken as computer-based tests, making it possible to add more exam dates, shorten registration times, and speed up access to results with scores available three weeks after the test.

Infosys Technologies Ltd. has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the University of Cambridge for collaborative research ventures in the areas of engineering, management and business, architecture and pharma. The MoU signed by Narayana Murthy, Chairman of the Board and Chief Mentor, Infosys Technologies, and Professor Alison Richard, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Cambridge, seeks to develop opportunities in these areas over the next three years.

Lipoxen Plc has entered a research agreement with Cambridge Biostability Limited, the University of Cambridge and the UK Health Protection Agency to develop vaccine technology that does not require the refrigeration of vaccines during their distribution so called cold-chain distribution. The approach will use Lipoxen's Liposomal Co-Delivery technology, which combines DNA and protein forms of an antigen in liposomes, to generate a strong immune response after a single dose together with Cambridge Biostabilty's VitRIS technology that produces thermostable formulations which can survive both high temperatures and accidental freezing.
