On June 27, Del Taco Inc. will celebrate the grand opening of its first Florida location with family entertainment such as face painting, games and prizes, free hot air balloon rides and a giant Macho Burrito that will be hand-made, cut and served at 5 pm. The new Del Taco is located at 3551 Dovera Drive in Oviedo. The giant-sized replica of Del Taco's popular Macho Burrito features 15 overlapping flour tortillas filled with beans made from scratch, taco meat, red and green sauce, lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream, guacamole and freshly grated cheddar cheese. The burrito will be assembled, then cut and served. The company looks forward to opening more Del Tacos in the Orlando area.

Del Taco Inc. unveild its new Chicken Fajita Burrito on June 15. The new Chicken Fajita Burrito includes grilled marinated chicken, fire roasted fajita onions and peppers wrapped in a warm flour tortilla. And then the fun starts as customers have their choice of adding any two of four additional ingredients--sour cream, fresh salsa, cheddar cheese or guacamole. The New Chicken Fajita Burrito is sold a la carte, or in a combo meal paired with a side order of chips, freshly prepared salsa and a soft drink for a limited time.

Del Taco Inc. hired Ed Wilroy as senior director of research and development, and promoted Stacy Marler to senior director of quality assurance and food safety. Wilroy joins Del Taco from Pick Up Stix, where he most recently served as executive chef.
