Burdick, Soderberg's predecessor as Board Chairman, has stepped down from the Healthsense Board to focus on his new position as President and COO of WellCare Health Plans.

Healthsense Closes $10 Million Financing with Mansa Capital

Healthsense Inc. announced that it has closed on $10 million in financing led by Mansa Capital focused on the $2.8 trillion U.S. healthcare market. Previous investors Merck Global Health Innovation Fund and Radius Ventures LLC also participated in the round. With Healthsense's growing focus on helping managed care organizations optimize care, the firm has deployed several pilot programs within the last year including partnerships with Humana Cares/Senior Bridge, Fallon Health, and various others. Early program results suggest a positive impact of the Healthsense eNeighbor(R) remote monitoring platform on improving care outcomes for those with chronic health conditions by providing earlier interventions and readmission rate reductions in various care environments.

Tapestry Senior Housing Management Selects Healthsense, Inc. as Remote Monitoring Technology Partner

Healthsense,(R) Inc. announced that Tapestry Senior Housing Management, LLC will deploy its Healthsense eNeighbor(R) remote monitoring platform within the organization's senior living communities in Florida and Arizona. The Healthsense eNeighbor platform will be deployed first at Tapestry Tallahassee, a 149-unit assisted living care and memory care community, where it will allow for high quality care and outcomes by using technology and analytics to monitor and measure residents' every day health. By passively monitoring Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), timely information is delivered regarding each resident's wellbeing, enabling better care management decisions. By alerting caregivers early and often of the overall health of residents, exacerbation of chronic conditions or other health concerns can be detected earlier, allowing for more timely interventions and avoidance of higher acuity care.
