Princeton University Announces Board Changes

Princeton University announced that Treby Williams, who has worked in Princeton University's Office of the Executive Vice President since 2007, has been named acting executive vice president. The appointment is effective June 8, 20132, a day after Executive Vice President Mark Burstein departs to become president of Lawrence University. Williams is currently assistant vice president for safety and administrative planning. She is expected to serve as acting executive vice president for several months until the University completes a search for a new executive vice president. The executive vice president oversees the areas of audit and compliance, campus life, facilities, human resources, public safety and university services. Before joining the Office of the Executive Vice President, Williams was director of the University's Office of Development Priorities for two years. Previously, Williams was an assistant U.S. attorney in the southern district of New York and the district of New Jersey from 1992 to 2004. She also worked for three years for Coudert Brothers in London and New York.

Christopher L. Eisgruber to Become Princeton University Next President

Princeton University announced that Christopher L. Eisgruber, a constitutional scholar who has been the university's provost for nine years, would be its next president. Mr. Eisgruber, is replacing Shirley M. Tilghman, who became the second woman to lead an Ivy League university when she rose to the Princeton presidency in 2001. She announced her retirement in September 2012.
