Princeton University Names Treby Williams as Executive Vice President

Princeton University announced that Treby Williams has been named Princeton's executive vice president. Her appointment is effective Nov. 18. Williams has worked in the Office of the Executive Vice President since 2007. In June she was appointed acting executive vice president following the departure of former Executive Vice President Mark Burstein to become president of Lawrence University.

Pulin Sanghvi, who led the Career Management Center at the Stanford Graduate School of Business, has been named executive director of Career Services at Princeton University, effective Dec. 1, 2013. The new position is intended to help broaden career exploration and opportunities for all students, and establish new relationships with employers and organizations representing a wide range of interests and fields. Reporting to Vice President for Campus Life Cynthia Cherrey, Sanghvi will build on existing successful programs and further expand Career Services' engagement with students interested in the arts, nonprofit organizations and the public sector. He also will help increase the opportunities available to students for internships and employment across the country and around the world.
Princeton University Plans to Open an Administrative Center on the Campus of Tsinghua University in Beijing

Princeton University is planning to open an administrative center on the campus of Tsinghua University in Beijing to support faculty, students and staff studying and conducting research in China. The Princeton Center at Tsinghua is expected to open in early 2014 once preparations to operate a University office in China are finalized. The office will be Princeton's first administrative center abroad. It is a further example of Princeton's internationalization efforts, outlined in the 2007. The center will be run by a managing director who can help with issues such as: travel arrangements; housing; event planning; translation services; arranging meeting spaces; visiting Chinese archives; and accessing scientific labs at Chinese universities. The center also will be a resource for Chinese scholars preparing to teach or conduct research at Princeton.
