Steve Bilsky to Retire as Athletics Director at The University of Pennsylvania

University of Pennsylvania President Amy Gutmann and Provost Vincent Price announced that director of athletics Steve Bilsky will retire on June 30. During Bilsky's tenure, Penn student-athletes have achieved significant recognition, including 369 Academic All-Ivy honorees, 34 League Players of the Year and 133 All-Americans.
Harold I. Feldman Names Chair of Pennsylvania Medicine Department of Biostatistics and Epidemiology

Harold I. Feldman, MD, MSCE, has been named chair of the Department of Biostatistics and Epidemiology (DBE) and Director of the Center for Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics (CCEB) at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. A professor of Medicine and Epidemiology, he has been serving as interim chair of the DBE, as well as interim director of the CCEB since 2012. In addition, Dr. Feldman holds a secondary appointment as professor of Medicine in Pediatrics.

University of Pennsylvania has named Dawn A. Bonnell vice provost for research, effective July 1. She replaces Steven Fluharty, who will become dean of Penn's School of Arts and Sciences. Bonnell is the Trustee Professor of Materials Science and Engineering in Penn's School of Engineering and Applied Science and the founding director of Penn's Nano/Bio Interface Center, where researchers from various Penn schools study the intersections of technology and biology at the molecular level. She has taught at Penn since 1988 and has a Ph.D., M.S. and B.S.E. in materials science and engineering from the University of Michigan. She also studied on a Fulbright Scholarship at the Max Planck Institute in Stuttgart, Germany. In her new role, Bonnell will develop and implement Penn's research policies; manage key elements of Penn's research infrastructure, including grant administration and research compliance; and lead Penn's efforts to commercialize its research.
