Andrew Cripps has stepped down as president of Paramount Pictures International Limited and is replaced by former Disney international distribution chief Antony Marcoly. Cripps (pictured) decided not to relocate from London to Los Angeles in the wake of the studio's recent centralisation drive. He is replaced by the experienced Marcoly, the former president of Walt Disney Pictures International who left that studio in January 2010 after chairman Rich Ross effected sweeping changes. As head of Paramount international theatrical, Marcoly will be located on the Paramount lot overseeing the studio's international distribution, finance and operations and reports to vice-chairman Rob Moore. All country managers will now report to Marcoly and recently promoted chief marketing officer Josh Greenstein will oversee Paramount's global theatrical marketing.

IMAX Corporation, DreamWorks Pictures (DW Studios L.L.C.) and Paramount Pictures International announced an agreement to offer the highly anticipated sci-fi western thriller Cowboys & Aliens in select international digital IMAX(R) theatres day-and-date with each territory's release date, beginning in August. The release marks the continuation of the relationship between IMAX, Paramount Pictures International and director Jon Favreau, whose most recent film, Iron Man 2, grossed more than $25 million on 262 IMAX screens globally. The filmmaking team includes producers Brian Grazer, Ron Howard, Scott Mitchell Rosenberg, Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci. Starring Daniel Craig, Harrison Ford and Olivia Wilde, the film is based on a Platinum Studios graphic novel created by Scott Mitchell Rosenberg.
