Requiem Project Sues University of Cincinnati, Emery Center Apartments Limited Partnership and Emery Center Corp. over Emery Theater Renovation

Requiem Project sued the University of Cincinnati for the right to renovate the vacant Emery Theater in Over-the-Rhine. The suit, filed by the Requiem Project, names University of Cincinnati, the Emery Center Apartments Limited Partnership (ECALP) and the Emery Center Corp. as defendants. The Requiem Project is seeking a declaratory judgement asserting its right to renovate the theater. The lawsuit claims that the Emery Center Corp. has refused to enter into a lease and asked Requiem to vacate the building and return the keys.
