The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center is planning to build a $270 million, 115,000-square-foot cancer treatment facility in Dallas. Methodist Dallas Medical Center is building a 248,000-square-foot Charles A. Sammons Trauma and Critical Care Tower, which will expand the hospital's emergency department and include 58 new emergency room beds, six trauma suites, eight surgical suites and a 36-bed critical care unit. Medical City Dallas Hospital and Medical City Children's Hospital are planning a $114 million expansion, including constructing four new floors at one tower, as well as expanding another floor in the same building. Extensive renovations in other buildings will expand the oncology and stem cell treatment units and renovate operating rooms. Victory Healthcare of The Woodlands is spending about $100 million constructing and renovating four hospitals across North Texas. Conifer Health Solutions, is building a four-story, 200,000-square-foot headquarters in Frisco. Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas is constructing a 49,000-square-foot comprehensive cancer center, scheduled to open in August of 2014.
