Kentucky Gov. Steve Beshear has named Emily S. Bingham and Douglas R. Hall, both of Louisville, to the University of Louisville Board of Trustees. Bingham is a historian, according to a news release from the governor's office. She replaces Owsley Brown Frazier, who died in August . She will serve for the remainder of Frazier's unexpired term, which ends June 30. Hall is executive vice president of Evergreen Rehabilitation. He replaces Augusta B. Holland, who has resigned. Hall will serve for the remainder of the term, which ends June 30, 2016.
Dr. Peter Tanguay has been named an interim director of the University of Louisville Autism Center at Kosair Charities. Dr. Peter Tanguay possesses both depth and breadth of knowledge of autism, making him the perfect choice to direct the U of L Autism Center at Kosair Charities. His many years of service on the U of L faculty as well as his distinguished career spanning more than 40 years are assets to the university in leading the center.
Gov. Beshear has appointed the following members to the University of Louisville Board of Regents to serve for terms expiring June 30, 2018. Dr. Joseph W. Prather II, of Elizabethtown, is a physician and chief medical officer for Baptist Healthcare System. The appointment replaces Rebecca Jackson, whose term has expired. James Steven Wilson, of Louisville, is a farmer and developer, and owner of 21C Museum Hotel. The appointment replaces Jack Chester Porter, whose term has expired. Gov. Beshear has reappointed Ronald D. Butt to the board.
