College of William & Mary named Cindy Glavas as director of auxiliary services. Glavas, who has 20 years of experience in the field of higher education, assumed the role on March 4, 2013. John J. Byxbe, who was serving as the interim director, returned to his role of associate director of auxiliary services. Glavas reports directly to the vice president for administration and will work with departments across campus to ensure that auxiliary services provide outstanding customer service while maximizing business opportunities for the College that align with its strategic direction.

John E. Littel, executive vice president of External Relations for Amerigroup, was appointed by Gov. Bob McDonnell this month to serve a four-year term on the board of visitors at the College of William & Mary in Williamsburg. Littel also serves on the board of advisors for William & Mary's Thomas Jefferson Program in Public Policy.
