TokBox announced the appointment of Scott Lomond to CEO, from his former role as Vice President, Marketing and Business Development at TokBox. Outgoing CEO Ian Small will become Chairman of the Board, continuing in his current role as CEO of Communications Services at Telefónica. Current Vice President, Engineering Badri Rajasekar will become CTO at TokBox as part of the changes, responsible for all engineering and operations.
TokBox Launches WebRTC Support for Google Chrome 29 and Chrome for Android

TokBox announced that their OpenTok on WebRTC platform now supports Chrome 29 for the desktop and Chrome for Android. In addition to supporting WebRTC's native P2P standard, OpenTok provides a range of application development and management capabilities in the Cloud. OpenTok's Mantis cloud-scaling infrastructure enables multi-party calling, bandwidth controls and scaling as well as dynamic traffic-shaping for audio and video-quality. TokBox's Cloud Raptor SDK adds management capabilities to OpenTok applications, letting enterprises create a centralized controller that can listen to, query and respond to messages and events flowing through the application.

TokBox announced the appointment of Scott Lomond to lead marketing of TokBox's OpenTok Video Platform. Lomond joins TokBox as Vice President, Marketing from his previous role as Vice President and General Manager of Cloud Services for LifeSize Communications, a division of Logitech. He will lead the development of TokBox's position as the leading platform for the creation and management of real-time communication applications, in particular around WebRTC, and the go-to-market strategies for vertical market solutions such as OpenTok for Customer Service. At LifeSize Lomond was responsible for the development and launch of the industry-first hosted video collaboration program, LifeSize Connections.
