Hulu has hired a veteran of Microsoft's Xbox team to head its Seattle office building living-room technologies. Barry Steinglass started as vice president of software development, heading a 35-person team that just moved into new downtown offices with room to expand. Steinglass was recruited by Microsoft in 1999 and worked on Exchange before joining Xbox in its early days. He left Microsoft in 2006.

A class action lawsuit alleges Hulu L.L.C. automatically charged customer credit cards after an initial free trial period without the customers' consent. The complaint alleges the on-demand streaming video service required card numbers before allowing customers to try its online streaming product. Hulu then charged the credit or debit cards without the user's affirmative consent. The lawsuit alleges that Hulu continues to charge on a monthly basis, requiring customers to cancel to avoid the automatic charges.
