Post Foods, LLC Announces New C is for Cereal, Specifically Formulated for Toddlers

Post Foods, LLC announced the introduction of Post Sesame Street Cereal, a wholesome, whole grain oat-based cereal for little ones. For years, toddlers have started their mornings watching their favorite furry friends, Elmo and Cookie Monster, on Sesame Street. Now they can also enjoy these characters' friendly faces at breakfast and snack times throughout the day. New Post Sesame Street Cereal is available in two naturally-flavored varieties: A is for Apple and B is for Banana. This oat-based cereal provides two-thirds of a toddler's daily Whole Grains and contains nutrients to help support healthy brain development . Both varieties have 1g of sugar per serving and contain no artificial flavors, providing a healthy option for breakfast and snacks.

Kraft Foods Plans $40 Million Expansion Project

Kraft Foods announced that it is planning a $40 million expansion project at its plant in Granite City that would add 30 new jobs. Before it commits to the project, the company wants the city and the Illinois Department of Transportation to provide about $400,000 to widen Missouri Avenue in front of the plant. The 660,000-square-foot plant now has about 410 workers and produces Capri Sun and Kool-Aid ready-to-drink beverages. The expansion project would include new construction, additional equipment and the reconfiguring of existing equipment at the plant at 2901 Missouri Avenue. Kraft is currently negotiating a tax increment financing deal with the city, and it is awaiting a decision on a grant application with the state.
