NetIQ announced the general availability of the PlateSpin® Forge 700 Series, its latest and most powerful disaster recovery appliances for protecting both physical and virtual server workloads in the event of a production server outage or disaster. The PlateSpin Forge 700 Series appliances protect 60% more workloads and provide significantly higher performance and capacity than the previous generation 500 Series. An all-in-one solution with advanced capabilities like disaster recovery requirements sizing and sand-boxed virtual testing, the PlateSpin Forge 700 Series provides a high-capacity high-performance recovery environment that powers enterprise-class workloads efficiently and seamlessly until the production environment is restored. Featuring the latest PlateSpin Forge 11 software, the PlateSpin Forge 700 Series appliances support the latest OS and hypervisor versions from Microsoft, VMware, and others, and include support for new UEFI physical servers with GPT hard drives and boot drives larger than 2TB. All PlateSpin Forge 700 Series appliances include PlateSpin Recon 4 licenses capable of monitoring the CPU, memory, network bandwidth, and disk utilization of up to 100 production server workloads for 30 days. NetIQ Further Delivers on Identity-Powered(TM) Security with Sentinel 7.2 and Change Guardian 4.1

NetIQ announced the latest versions of its NetIQ Sentinel Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) and NetIQ Change Guardian privileged user activity monitoring solutions. As organizations begin to integrate more sources of identity data into their overall security and breach prevention strategies, these solutions comprehensively monitor privileged user activity to reduce the risk of data breach in an increasingly perimeter-less IT environment. The shift away from a legacy, "perimeter-first" security approach renders most traditional ways of protecting devices, infrastructure and technology obsolete. Security teams increasingly need visibility into user activity and the context of those activities to determine if the behavior they are exhibiting is normal and appropriate or the result of breach. Now, customers using NetIQ Sentinel 7.2 will benefit from new threat intelligence feeds that help customers protect their networks and sensitive data from today's most widely used botnets, including SpyEye and Zeus. Also new in NetIQ Sentinel 7.2 is greater NetFlow traffic analysis to help customers quickly detect malware, bad actors and investigate suspicious network traffic. Sentinel 7.2 and Change Guardian 4.1 are generally available worldwide and offered on a subscription or perpetual license basis.

NetIQ Unveils Latest Versions of NetIQ PlateSpin

NetIQ announced the general availability of a new generation of PlateSpin(R) workload management and disaster recovery products, including PlateSpin(R) Forge 4, PlateSpin(R) Protect 11 and PlateSpin(R) Migrate 11. These latest versions provide fast and efficient disaster recovery, server consolidation, and migration capabilities for today's virtual and physical server workloads. When combined with PlateSpin(R) Recon 4, the latest version of NetIQ's planning and analysis tool, the PlateSpin family allows IT professionals to set and maintain accurate service-level agreements (SLAs) for disaster recovery (DR), protect physical servers in an increasingly virtual world, and speed up transfers while reducing downtime during server migration. Combined, these updates address a range of solutions for common disaster recovery and workload management problems. Physical Server Replication: PlateSpin(R) Protect 11 protects physical and virtual servers with a single DR solution, either within its own recovery environment, or by extending the capabilities of VMware's Site Recovery Manager (SRM) to physical servers, enabling users to replicate physical servers alongside virtual machines in an existing SRM environment. Latest Version Support: PlateSpin(R) Forge 4 now supports the latest OS and hypervisor versions from Microsoft, VMware, and others, providing an all-in-one disaster recovery hardware appliance that protects both physical and virtual workloads, and delivers exceptional RTO and RPO performance at an extremely affordable price point. Anywhere-to-Anywhere Migration: PlateSpin(R) Migrate 11 extends NetIQ's proprietary high-speed block-based transfer protocols and Server Sync technology to the latest hypervisor versions from Microsoft, VMware, and others, and to newer UEFI/GPT physical servers with large (2 TB+) system drives, and offers true anywhere-to-anywhere (to and from physical, virtual, and image) migrations, rather than just single-platform physical-to-virtual conversions.
