Company Overview

CentraCore Properties Trust, a real estate investment trust (REIT), engages in the acquisition and ownership of correctional and detention facilities in the United States. It acquires these facilities from private prison operators and government entities and leases them under long-term, non cancelable triple-net leases. As of March 14, 2006, the trust owned and leased 13 correctional and detention facilities in 9 states with an aggregate design capacity of 7,556 beds. CentraCore Properties has elected to be taxed as a REIT under the Internal Revenue Code of 1986.
