Soraa, Inc. Key Developments
Soraa, Inc. Launches First Full-Visible-Spectrum Line Of LED Light Engines
May 30 14
Soraa, Inc. launched the line of LED light engines. Soraa's new light engines use 50% less power and have a higher center beam intensity (CBCP) than current integral LED fixtures. The engines also allow fixtures to be 50% smaller due to their small diameter and low profile, and the novel heatsink design enables low temperature operation and a lifetime of 50,000 hours. Moreover, the light engines permit Soraa's signature elements of full-visible spectrum light to now be easily incorporated into integral LED fixtures. These elements include Point Source Optics for beautiful, uniform beams of high intensity; and VP(3) Vivid Color (CRI-95 and R9-95) and VP(3) Natural White, revealing the magic of whiteness and colors in every environment. The light engines' technology and design enables perfect illumination and problem-free installation, serviceability and compatibility. The engines are available in a range of front face diameters from 4" to 1"; are easy to install with standard MR/PAR/AR lightweight and compact front mounting rings; are designed to work with an external driver and are compatible with wide range of dimming and control systems; are California Title 24 compliant; and field serviceability is as simple as changing out a lamp. The engines are also SNAP System(TM) compatible, so customers can perfectly tailor light in restaurant, retail, hospitality, museum, and residential applications. The innovative, easy-to-use magnetic accessories allow customers to adjust the color, shape and soon direction of the light beam.
SORAA Launches Large Lamp Versions of its Innovative Snap System
May 29 14
SORAA announced that the company will launch and display large lamp versions of its innovative SNAP System(TM) along with new accessories at LIGHTFAIR International (June 3 - 5). Last year, Soraa's award-winning MR16 SNAP System(TM) transformed lighting design by allowing users to customize light directly on the lamp rather than on the fixture. With the addition of PAR30, PAR38 and AR111 LED lamps to the SNAP System(TM) line, customers now have a choice of lamps as well as accessories to perfectly tailor light in restaurant, retail, hospitality, museum, and residential applications. Due to its bright, point source GaN on GaN(TM) LED and breakthrough prismatic optic, Soraa's LED lamps can accept a magnet in the center of the lens, enabling a simple accessory attachment mechanism without major impact on light output or efficiency. The innovative, easy-to-use magnetic accessories allow customers to adjust the color, shape and soon direction of the light beam. All of Soraa's SNAP System(TM) LED lamps have the company's signature elements of full-visible-spectrum light; point source optics for beautiful, uniform beams of high intensity; and Violet-emission 3-Phosphor (VP3) Vivid Color, and VP(3) Natural White which reveal the magic of whiteness and colors in every environment.
Soraa to Launch and Display Series of New Full-Visible-Spectrum Large LED Lamps
May 15 14
Soraa announced that the company will launch and display a series of new full-visible-spectrum large LED lamps at LightFair International (June 3-5) in Las Vegas, NV. This new line of AR111, PAR30L (Long Neck), PAR30S (Short Neck), and PAR38 lamps complements the company's award-winning MR16 lamp, creating a full line of products to perfectly and dramatically light restaurant, retail, hospitality, and residential applications. Pictured here are Soraa's AR111 and PAR30; just part of the company's new full-visible-spectrum large LED lamp portfolio which will be launched and displayed at LightFair International (June 3-5). All of Soraa's lamps feature the company's unique full-visible-spectrum Violet-emission 3-Phosphor (VP(3)) LED technology powered by GaN on GaN(TM), enabling perfect rendering of colors and whiteness. Soraa's VP(3) Vivid Color utilizes every color in the rainbow, especially deep red emission, to render warm tones beautifully and accurately, and achieves a color rendering index (CRI) of 95 and deep red (R9) rendering of 95 at color temperatures ranging from 2700K to 5000K. VP(3) Natural White is achieved by engineering the violet emission to properly excite fluorescing agents in natural objects such as human eyes and teeth as well as manufactured white materials such as clothing, paper and cosmetics; resulting in flawless whiteness rendering, the same as observed under daylight or incandescent illumination, but without using ultra-violet light. Soraa's 8deg AR111 is the only LED product that matches halogen levels, with CBCP 50% higher than the nearest 80-CRI competitor. The PAR30L and PAR30S lamps offer the only 8deg narrow spot option on the market without active cooling, achieving a CBCP more than twice that of the nearest 80-CRI competitor. All of Soraa's full-visible-spectrum lamps are available in 25deg, 36deg, and 60deg beam angles and come in wide range of color temperatures.
