GlobalScholar, Inc. Key Developments
CompassLearning, Inc. and GlobalScholar, Inc. announced product integration and a strategic alliance that will help education professionals produce better learning outcomes by delivering on the promise of Personalized Learning. The combination of GlobalScholar's Performance Series(R) with CompassLearning Odyssey(R) provides teachers with immediate assessment results and a personalized learning path designed to the specific learning needs of each student that is aligned with state and Common Core State Standards (CCSS). The integration makes it easier than ever for school districts that are using products from both companies to identify each student's specific learning level and automatically design a personalized instructional solution that can align to both state standards and Common Core State Standards. The personalized learning paths are automatically created in three simple steps: (1) Compass Learning imports test data from Performance Series. (2) Then learning paths are automatically assigned to each student. (3) After assigning the learning path, students complete a range of Compass Learning activities, built on decades of research about how kids engage and learn, and linked directly to their learning needs and abilities.
GlobalScholar, Inc. announced that Kevin Brueggeman has joined the organization as its Chief Executive Officer. Brueggeman assumes responsibility for all areas of the education company featuring the Scantron(R), Pinnacle and EXCEED(R) products marketed under the GlobalScholar brand. Brueggeman will also have responsibility for the Scantron commercial data collection business. Brueggeman brings to GlobalScholar more than two decades of testing and assessment experience, including 15 years in top executive roles in major education industry organizations. The releases are being showcased at the annual conference of the International Society for Technology in Education, being held in San Diego. GlobalScholar is thrilled to introduce the newest updates of products to the country's most forward-thinking educators. GlobalScholar's Personalized Learning solution, provides anytime, anywhere learning opportunities by using technology to differentiate instruction, curriculum and assessments. This solution provides a transparent learning environment so that parents can also stay informed of their child's achievement gaps or gifts. New release features include district-wide dashboard analytics to help predict summative, high-stakes test results; automated Response To Intervention (RTI) emails and alerts for real-time personalization; a newly expanded range of Early Childhood computer-adaptive assessments for grades K-2, aligned to Common Core; and new mastery measures of standards, which can be converted to traditional grading. GlobalScholar's Personalized Learning solutions help meet Absolute Priority 1 for the new Race to the Top funding for districts.
