Munder Capital Management Key Developments

Firms Reportedly Line Up To Bid For Munder

A number of private equity firms and at least one investment management firm are expected to bid for Munder Capital Management in a deal that could be valued up to $400 million, according to a number of sources familiar with the deal. The Blackstone Group L.P. (NYSE:BX) has teamed up with Advent International Corporation to bid for Munder, according to three of the sources, who wished to remain anonymous because they are not permitted to speak to the media. Private equity firms Lightyear Capital LLC, Genstar Capital, LLC and Thoma Bravo, LLC are also expected to submit bids, the sources said. On the investment management side, Pacific Life Insurance Co., Asset Management Arm is expected to bid. Bids are due by mid-September, 2013, the sources said. Calls to Lightyear, Thoma Bravo and Pacific Life were not returned. Advent, Blackstone, Thoma Bravo, Genstar and Crestview declined to comment. Crestview Partners, L.P. Partners is looking to sell Munder.

Munder Capital Management Appoints Jim Kourkoulakos as Senior Portfolio Manager for Fixed Income

Munder Capital Management announced that Jim Kourkoulakos, a former portfolio manager and co-head of credit research at California Public Employees' Retirement Service (CalPERS), has joined the firm as a senior portfolio manager for fixed income. Mr. Kourkoulakos, with nearly two decades of experience in fixed income money management and analysis, will focus on managing bond portfolios across the full range of the ratings spectrum. He reports to Ed Goard, Munder's CIO of fixed income.
