DePaul University Names Gene Zdziarski as Vice President for Student Affairs, Effective July 1, 2014

Gene Zdziarski, a national leader at student success and safety in higher education, has been named vice president for student affairs at DePaul University. Currently, Zdziarski is vice president for student affairs and dean of students at Roanoke College in Salem, Va. He will assume his new role July 1.

DePaul University Announces Board Appointments

DePaul University has elected three leaders to its board of trustees, including health care executive Ruth W. Brinkley, opera director Sasha Gerritson and education administrator Donald Heller. Brinkley is president and CEO of KentuckyOne Health. Brinkley has more than 37 years of health care experience working in private and public organizations. She most recently served as president and CEO of Carondelet Health Network in Arizona. Gerritson is a full-time instructor in Northeastern Illinois University's Department of Music, where she directs the operas, teaches music theory, and serves as the recruitment and scholarship coordinator. Heller is dean of the College of Education at Michigan State University. Previously, he was a senior scientist and director of the Center for the Study of Higher Education at Pennsylvania State University.
